Anne Wainscott-Sargent brings nearly two decades of experience as a professional interviewer and writer. She has specific experience writing profiles and trend articles for her clients across the health and wellness, education, publishing and technology sectors.
For the last five years, she has written about trends in the satellite and aviation industries for Via Satellite and Avionics Magazine, publications of Access Intelligence.
She also frequently writes consumer-oriented features for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where her articles have appeared on CDC.gov and CDC Connects, the agency-wide intranet, and has had consumer-oriented health stories appear on Arthritis Today and Livestrong.com.
Anne’s journalism reporting has appeared online and in several news dailies and industry publications, including Financial Times (UK), Developing Leaders magazine, Business to Business Magazine, Atlanta CityMag, The Dayton Daily News, The Athens (Ohio) Messenger, The Downtowner, The Gulf Daily News; in high-tech journals, Cargo Security International, Special Operations Technology, Teradata Magazine, and MissionCritical Communications; in education publications, Edge and T.H.E. A native of Dayton, Ohio, now living in Atlanta, Anne earned a B.S. in Journalism with honors from Ohio University and has a graduate certificate in Communications Management from Rutgers State University. Following graduation from OU, Anne was one of seven young journalists to be selected for a Middle East reporting internship sponsored by the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations. In 2005, she wrote an anti-smoking memoir after losing her mother to lung cancer. Her current book projects include Moving to Atlanta: An Untourist Guide, scheduled for release in mid-2016 by Voyager Media, and Torrential, her debut historical novel set in her hometown of Dayton on the eve of the 1913 flood.
Anne is a member of the Atlanta Writers Club and the Atlanta Press Club, and frequently posts interviews with authors and other storytellers on her blog, The Writing Well.
